Bethel's New Ministry Facility

Construction Progress

Updated February 19, 2024

Bonus Material for you this week.  Here are links to the videos that Pastor Dave showed in the service on 2/18/2024.

Worship Space - 2/18/2024

Non-worship Space - 2/18/2024

As we get closer to occupying the building, please continue to pray for the safety of the workers, the leadership and staff of Bethel as they make plans to use and administer the building, and most importantly, that God is with us as we complete this part of the journey.

- David

Fresh pictures today!  Wow!  The walls are all up, plumbing and electrical are roughed in and the workers are working hard on installing sheetrock.  It looks like they have sheetrock on everything except the worship center, which is in progress.  I am so excited to be able to worship our Lord in that space.  The journey we have been on has been long and the end is in sight.  Please continue to pray for those working on the building and most of all, pray for Bethel!

It has been a while since I posted pictures, but I hope you agree that there has been lots of progress since November 10.  Siding is up, glass is in and you can see walls being built inside.   Those of you who live around Sheldon have probably seen this so these pictures are mainly for those out of town or not able to drive by.  Either way, wherever you are, whatever you are doing, please continue to pray for Bethel.

Siding going up!  Insulation is going up inside!  Progress!  Pray for Bethel!

This is a view of the worship center from around the main entrance. The white material that you see on the walls is the Tyvek that is attached to the out side of the building. We are looking at the bottom of the roofing material so I'm sure it will look very different when the insulation is added and sheetrock goes up.

As you can see above, I was able to tag along with Consistory Thursday night to see the inside of the new building.  It is very exciting to see and feel the space at this very early stage of inside construction.  Check out the captions to see the subject of each picture.  There are two of the stage area, one of the Grace Space and another looking back at the main entrance from the inside.  I took lots of pictures when I was there and had difficulty picking the best ones, but I thought these might give you an idea of what has taken place so far.  Please take time this week to thank the Consistory (past and present!) for getting us this far and most of all, thank God for planning their steps!  Pray for Bethel!

We cannot see inside anymore, which is very exciting!  Doesn't it look strange to see something taking up space on the Lot of Faith?  Would anyone like to see inside?  Maybe we should wait until it is finished.  Let me know what you think.    Pray for Bethel!

Are you tired of me saying 'more progress' yet?  I'm not. This is awesome!  Pretty soon, work will move to the inside of the building and it will be harder to show you what is going on, but for now, enjoy these pictures.  There are so many things to pray for, I could not list them here, so just pray!

This week's photos!  Still looks like an erector set to me, but much bigger, or course.  Please continue to pray for the workers, but let's also pray for the new office space in the Northwestern Bank Building.  Pray that the new space allows our staff and volunteers to continue to do God's good work.  - David

Here is this week's update.  Does anyone wonder what the instructions look like to put a building like this together?  Do you think it looks like the directions that you get from a place like Ikea?  I'll have to see if I can find a picture of the instructions so we can see what they look like.  As I have been saying, keep praying for the people working on our building, not just the ones that are putting up the steel, but everyone involved -> electricians, plumbers, carpenters, engineers, architects, designers and the people of Bethel who are volunteering their time to create our new ministry facility.  - David

More progress this week.  This reminds me of my Erector set I had when I was a kid, but much bigger!  Please continue to pray for the safety of the workers and all involved with the construction of our new ministry facility.  Thank God for his provision.

The two pictures above were taken on Saturday morning, 8/26/2023.  Progress!  You probably can't see much on the picture on the left, but if you look closely at the picture on the right, you can see steel sitting on the ground.  Please pray for the safety for the workers as they work with the steel.

Here are a couple of early pictures showing the progress on Bethel's new ministry facility.  Most of the changes so far have been below the surface and are not immediately obvious, but check back for updates.  We will try to have new pictures posted here weekly.

Photo captions will display when you hold your mouse over a picture or touch the picture with your finger if using your phone.
