Tuesday Morning Coffee with Friends
This ministry is being created for anyone who would appreciate a morning cup of coffee with friends. The Bethel building will be open from 9:00 am to 10:30 am each Tuesday for people to gather and socialize over a cup of coffee. To start, we are seeking hosts to prepare the coffee, organize treats if desired, and connect with people as they arrive. These people will work with Jodi Siebrecht to observe the group and make recommendations as the group evolves. Wednesday Night Kids
Volunteers are needed to shepherd a group of 4-6 children on Wednesday nights. You will be given the lesson ahead of time and all supplies will be provided, unless communicated ahead of time. Your time commitment is from 6:00 pm to about 7:45 pm. We start in small groups where you greet your group, introduce an icebreaker, and read the story from the Bible using a script which is provided. Next, we move to large group where you supervise and participate with your group during songs and activities that relate to the story. The third part of the evening is in small groups again where you lead the provided craft, game or activity to reinforce the point of the lesson, work on the memory verse and lead your group in prayer. Thursday Lunch with Friends
This ministry is being created for anyone who would appreciate eating a meal with friends. The Bethel building will be open from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm each Thursday for people to bring their own lunch and sit at tables with others. Whether you are working nearby and need to get away from the office, or home alone most of the day and would like a change of scenery, this is a time for you to be with friends or make a new friend. To start, we are seeking hosts to make coffee and greet people during this time helping others connect. These people will work with Jodi Siebrecht to observe the group and make recommendations as the group evolves. Friday Morning Preschool Playgroup
This ministry is being created for parents/grandparents and their preschoolers. The Bethel building will be open from 9:30 to 10:30 am each Friday for parents and their children to listen to a Bible story, do an activity together, and have time to just play and talk. To start, we are seeking hosts to set up the area and greet people as they enter. These people will work with Jodi Siebrecht to observe the group and make recommendations as the group evolves. Bus Stop Prayer Group
This ministry is being created for those who have a passion for children in our community. Bethel has been the location for a Sheldon Community Schools Bus Stop for years. As we return to the neighborhood, we would like to support the children and families who live in the area. To start, we are seeking people to park in the west lot and pray and observe the bus stop in the SE corner of the lot. These people will work with Jodi Siebrecht to observe and make recommendations as the needs of the community are revealed.
