Create & Eat
Once a month, we offer the opportunity for everyone to create something and eat pizza. The original intent was for kids to come with a parent or grandparent when school was not in session, but everyone is welcome. We just ask that anyone under the age of 16 attends with an adult. Sign up sheets for this ministry are located at the Welcome Desk a few weeks before each event and it is important that everyone signs up so we have adequate supplies and your favorite pizza topping.
Coffee with Friends
Check the bulletin for dates and times, this group meets about once a month. Coffee, Tea, and Hot Chocolate or Lemonade are available, as well as cookies or bars.
Bus Stop Prayer Group
This ministry is being created for those who have a passion for children in our community. Bethel has been the location for a Sheldon Community Schools Bus Stop for years and we would like to support the children and families who live in the area. To start, we are seeking
people to park in the west lot and pray and observe the bus stop in the SE corner of the lot. These people will work with Jodi Siebrecht to observe and make recommendations as the needs of the community are revealed. Please contact Jodi if you are interested in praying on
site, she will connect with you to work on details for the start of this ministry.
Seeking Volunteers for Wednesday Night Kids
Volunteers are needed to shepherd groups of 4-6 children on Wednesday nights. You will be given the lesson ahead of time and all supplies are provided. Your time commitment is from 6:00 pm to about 7:45 pm on Wednesdays from September - April. We start in small groups where you use a script to greet your group, introduce an icebreaker, and read the story from the Bible. Next, we move to large group where you supervise your group and participate with your group during songs and activities that relate to the story. The third part of the evening is in small groups again where you lead the provided craft, game or activity to reinforce the point of the lesson, work on the memory verse and lead your group in prayer.
