Dave Van Kley has been Bethel’s pastor since October of 2014 when he and his family moved to Sheldon from Chicago, Illinois. He and Jody have been married since 1983 and have two sons and daughters-in-law: Kent & Marissa and Ross & Olivia. Dave is a graduate of Fuller Seminary in Pasadena, California and has been an ordained pastor in the Reformed Church in America since 1990. Dave and Jody spent 25 years in Chicago before moving back to Northwest Iowa where they have many ties. One of those ties is to the Okoboji Bible Conference. They have served the Conference for over 20 years where Dave is currently the Conference Pastor and Jody is the Conference Director. Dave and Jody love living in Sheldon and love doing ministry together.
Pastor Dave is passionate about worship and loving people. He hopes that you will be blessed by Bethel’s focus on Inspiring Worship and Loving Relationships. Dave loves being part of what God is doing in and through the Bethel family.

Jody Van Kley is a graduate of Dordt College with a teaching degree in Music Education. She is married to Pastor Dave Van Kley since 1983 and together they have 2 sons and 2 daughters-in- law. Jody serves Bethel Church in two capacities – first of all as the Worship Coordinator and secondly as the Director of Wednesday night Children’s Ministries. Jody has served in church ministry since 1990 when she began working for a church in the Chicago area. She moved, with her husband Dave, to Sheldon in the fall of 2014. She had the opportunity to join the Bethel Staff in the summer of 2015. In addition to her work for Bethel Church, Jody serves as the Conference Director for the Okoboji Bible Conference. She has been actively involved in this ministry for over 20 years. Jody loves the people of Bethel Church. She loves the opportunity to support Bethel’s vision of being a church of inspiring worship and loving relationships. In her spare time, Jody enjoys spending time playing the piano and hanging out with friends and family.
Anna began working as Bethel's office administrator in April 2012. A native of Orange City, Anna graduated from MOC-Floyd Valley High School in 2007 with the intention to study culinary arts in Minneapolis. God had a different direction, and instead she studied music at Northwestern College in Orange City. In May 2011, she married her high school sweetheart, Andy De Wild, and they made their home in Sheldon.
Although there are no children of the human variety (yet), Anna does enjoy spending time with her two beagles, Buster and Ally. Her other hobbies include cooking, reading, camping, and playing violin.
Anna is proud to be a member of Bethel, and takes every chance she can get to brag about its welcoming, kind-hearted members. She truly believes that this body is making waves to welcome people from all backgrounds and walks of life
Jodi Siebrecht grew up in Bethel and returned to Sheldon with her family in 2014 after 23 years in the Des Moines area. She is married to David and they have two grown daughters. Jodi joined Bethel’s staff in 2018 and focuses on opportunities that encourage and support families as they grow in their faith. You will find her working with all ages through our Sunday Morning Faith Formation, with preschoolers – 6th grade through our combined Wednesday Night Kids program with Living Water Community Church, as well as providing opportunities for all ages throughout the week. In her free time she enjoys being outside in God’s creation or creating anything with paper.
Katie Toering is the Director of Youth Ministry. She has been actively involved in youth ministries since 2021, beginning her journey as a parent volunteer when the Community Youth Group Partnership with Living Water Church was first established. When the opportunity to step into the role of Youth Director arose in May 2024, Katie felt called to lead and has since taken on this position with enthusiasm. In addition to her role with the youth group, Katie also serves as the Director of Children’s Ministries at Living Water Church.
Katie lives in Sheldon with her husband, Marvin, and their four children: James, Evelyn, Lincoln, and Tony. She teaches High School Social Studies at Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn High School, and holds a degree in Secondary Education and History from Northwestern College in Orange City. In her free time, Katie enjoys traveling, cooking, crafting, shopping, and reading.
Tiffany Zeilenga has been a member of Bethel since she got married to Scott in 2008. She started leading worship at the former Saturday night worship service and has continued to help with different ministries since joining the Sunday morning worship service. In 2024 she joined the Bethel staff when she took her husband's former position as custodian. Tiffany and Scott have 3 kids who love to attend worship and kid's programming at Bethel. When not cleaning at Bethel's office, Tiffany works as Mom first and foremost and second at The Village Northwest Unlimited as a part-time Program Associate. Tiffany firmly believes that God can be glorified in all that we do, even cleaning toilets.
